Me and my boyfriend have been seeing each other for about a year now and I recently found out I’m pregnant..
It was the scariest thing of my life.. I was paralyzed with fear. I wish I had the means to keep the baby but I just don’t.. We aren’t ready to be parents and adoption would mean my abusive dad finding out. I fear for both my life and my boyfriends if this were to happen.
So we decided together the only option is to abort the pregnancy. I’m so scared and lost. I have cried for nights about this, don’t think I’m heartless.

ASCO, Harry Gamboa Jr, Decoy Gang War Victim, 1974.
ASCO was a chicano artist’s collective in LA who came together from a group of graduated high school students who worked in urban intervientions.
During this time news reporting fed off deaths from the highly publicized “gang wars”, rushing to the sites of shoot outs and broadcasting images of the dead as well as listing off their names and the names of any immediate family members. This practice resulted in more shootings as the rest of the living family, now named in huge media outlets, were picked off.
ASCO intervened in this by staging decoy gang war victims, laying in the middle of streets and placing flares around the “body”. They would then take pictures and send them to major news outlets, telling them it was an unnamed gang war victim. The broadcasters would show these images and because there was no body and no family members to name, this would result in a lull of the media naming of individuals who could become new victims, as well as make a quiet mockery of the media and its crass modes of reporting and violence and fear mongering.

“On May 30, 1937, Memorial Day, Chicago police opened fire on unarmed workers demonstrating against Republic Steel in the midst of the “Little Steel” strike of 1937, killing 10 people and wounding dozens more. Most of the workers were shot in the back as they fled. Another 28 were injured by police clubbing, 9 of them permanently disabled.
In the wake of the massacre, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt—a Democrat and purportedly a “friend of labor”—pointedly refused to condemn the murders or intervene in the strike in favor of the steel workers’ union federation, then called the Committee for Industrial Organization (CIO), which had backed him in the 1936 elections. (The following year, the CIO would be transformed into the Congress of Industrial Organizations.) Roosevelt instead issued his infamous “plague on both your houses” remark, largely blaming the workers for the violence.”

I promise, you know at least one. SO many people, MOST people that I’ve encountered, just try to minimize the fact that their friends/cousins/coworkers/classmates are rapists.
I am an anarchist. I don’t think that the government as we know it should exist. Living in a state, no matter how coercive or violent it is or how much you don’t like it, is NOT the same as being raped. Period.
